about

"In my mind it was impossibly quiet and still up there."

"Every thought would have an echo in that kind of silence."

"I thought it'd be lovely to go someplace like that, where you couldn't even imagine the ground existing."

"And watch a different sunset every day."

"I wish..." by Vera Brosgol, Flight Volume 1 (2007)

lyrics

This stagnant ship's not going anywhere
I'm sure your lips aren't sealed so tell me your direction
I'm just gonna spell it out for you
I can't believe their choice
I'm in no place to complain

I forgot the ending scene right from the start
Holed up in debt too large so tell me your recollection
What exactly are you hinting at?
My angel's left my side
Leaving her halo behind

Your eyes are blind, your eyes are blind
You're falling down too deep

Why can't you please just take me up
On tales of flight to fill my cup
We're sailors on machines
We're sailors on sinking ships

Contending chains you've brought it upon yourself
I've seen the look you give so tell me your connection
See home is a haven in this heartless world
My time's been up for awhile
Fine while it lasted

Your eyes are blind, your eyes are blind
You're falling down too deep

Why can't you please just take me up
On tales of flight to fill my cup
We're sailors on machines
We're sailors on sinking ships

We count our lessons so out of reach
Promises of tension aren't hard to keep
Use servant systems
Why don't you see?
The world isn't as cruel
As you take it to be

Why can't you please just take me up
On tales of flight to fill my cup
We're sailors on machines
We're sailors on sinking ships

about

Cacolo Singapore

Having been conceptualised in late 2011, Cacolo is the solo musical project of multi-instrumentalist and producer, Nathan Khoo, based in Singapore.

The musical style has been described as being an extravagant blend of electronic and indie rock. Even so, his tracks have observed ambient and orchestral segments as the cherry on top of an already amazing cake (chocolate, preferably).
